Double exhibition in Spremberg
Category : Current
From Sunday 8 May 2022, the Niederlausitzer Heidemuseum will be hosting the double exhibition "Schaufenster Museum" and "Präparieren - eine alte Kunst". The new team leader of the museum, Ms Annemarie Ziegler, will open the two different exhibitions.
The special exhibition "Museum Shop Window" is a joint project of the Local Action Group Spree-Neiße e. V. and the working group "Lusatian Museum Land - Łužyska muzejowa krajina" and a component of the LAG project "Further Development of Lusatian Museum Land - Concept for Cooperation". The members of the Lusatian Museum Land working group present themselves and their common features on specially developed exhibition boards. Last but not least, the aim is to attract new visitors to the museums.
The exhibition "Taxidermy - an ancient art" presents the history and profession of the taxidermist. The taxidermist moves between craft and art as the person who can preserve and depict life, but also designs and creates. Craftsmanship and sensitivity, artistic ability, imagination and attention to detail, precise anatomical knowledge and scientific knowledge characterise the profession.
The two different exhibitions will be on display until 06 June 2022. They can be seen Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 and on weekends from 14:00 to 17:00.
Venue of the double exhibition: Schloßbezirk 3, 03130 Spremberg
