Heimatstube Trebendorf / Domowniska śpa Trjebejce

The Trebendorf manor house, which previously housed the Heimatstube exhibition, is undergoing extensive renovation.

The collection of the Heimatstube has been stowed and packed away and is waiting for its new presentation in the renovated manor house. At the moment it is not foreseeable when the collection can be shown to the public again.

Building / plot situation

The former manor house, a multi-storey plaster building with numerous additions from the 19th century, was originally surrounded by a moat. After 1945, resettler families lived in the manor house, also known colloquially as the castle, and some private tenants remained. The kindergarten was also housed here at first, followed by various uses of the rooms for the community, from the hunting association to the "Zamperer". A local history room was set up in the rooms, which is now closed, as is the entrance to the former manor house itself. For years, an interested party has been sought who can sensibly develop the manor house building.
The exhibition was located in a room in the east wing of the former Trebendorf manor house. The presentation in the form of a display collection with approaches of smaller productions on rural life (kitchen, children's everyday life) was supplemented by picture and text panels.
The memorial to the former landowner family Gneomar von Natzmer is located in the adjacent castle park. A cycle path leads through the park to the neighbouring manor house in Gahry.

Characteristics

The local collection of peasant household goods and agricultural implements has been built up since 2000. Original photos and documents from the Trebendorf manor are particularly noteworthy. The exhibition is intended to provide a glimpse into the history of the village, especially into the working and living environment of the peasant classes, but also into the beginnings of the manor and the traditions of the local associations. Work on the Trebendorf local chronicle has been ongoing for several years. It is reported that there are young people who would like to gradually revive the local history room and the associated historical research.

Offers for children - With Kobi to the museum

Kobi - the little house ghost - is at home in the museum. He lives there in a slipper under the stove. At midnight, he eavesdrops on the old museum pieces when they tell stories about the past. He tells these exciting stories to the museum staff, who then pass them on to the children - stories from the old, old days.
