Bronze casting like in the Bronze Age. First day: Introduction to the craft of bronze casting using a film. Making a wax model according to your own ideas or from pictures of original finds. Casting the wax models in existing moulds (axe, sickle, lance etc.). Embedding the wax model in a clay mould and firing overnight in the open fire.
Optional: cosy get-together around the campfire with hearty food from the kettle.
Second day: Production of an open-air melting furnace, independent casting in the clay shell mould, post-treatment and polishing of the personal casting product.
Date: Saturday and Sunday, 25 and 26 May 2024.
Time: Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00.
Costs: 200,00 € including material (registration required!).
Number of participants: maximum 12 people.
