Traditional costume plays an important role in many rural regions of Germany and is an irreplaceable part of the cultural heritage. The tradition of traditional costumes and customs is also upheld to this day in the homeland of the Mark Brandenburg, especially in Lower Lusatia and Fläming. The Mitteldeutsche Heimat- und Trachtenverband e.V. has organised a photo exhibition on the theme of "Traditional Costume and Landscape". The photographs were taken in the Fläming, the Spreewald and in Bavaria. This exhibition on the subject of traditional costume can be seen in the Wendish-German Museum of Local History in Jänschwalde from Saturday, 22 April 2023. Traditional costumes from various German costume regions, lovingly staged by different photographers, are on display. Learn interesting facts about traditional costumes.
