Traditional costume plays an important role in many rural regions of Germany and is an irreplaceable part of the cultural heritage. The tradition of traditional costumes and customs is also upheld to this day in the homeland of the Mark Brandenburg, especially in Lower Lusatia and Fläming. The Mitteldeutsche Heimat- und Trachtenverband e.V. has organised a photo exhibition on the theme of "Traditional Costume and Landscape". The photographs were taken in the Fläming, Spreewald and Bavaria. Parallel to the exhibition on the subject of traditional costume at the Wendish-German Museum of Local History in Jänschwalde, the photo exhibition focusing on landscape and clamp cake will be on display at the Ironworks and Fisheries Museum in Peitz from Sunday, 23 April 2023.
