On the occasion of the 75th birthday of the graduate designer and craftswoman Regina Herrmann, this special exhibition is dedicated to her artistic life's work in a retrospective. The Saxon artist's decades of work in the field of textile sculpture are remarkable. Whether sculptures, life-size figurines, hand puppets, stick figures, mythical figures or small "goddesses" - she succeeds in breathing life into dead matter by giving it a part of its soul. In this way, the figures become a part of her, all of them created without sketches or preliminary drawings. The materials she uses also show a multifaceted diversity. Textile stands next to bark, paper next to papier-mâché, leather next to other natural materials. Each contributes to the special expression of the designed figure.
