Fire Brigade Museum in the Historic Fire Station<\/p>\n

Building \/ plot situation<\/h3>\n

When the Gosda volunteer fire brigade moved to a new fire station in the mid-1990s, the question was: \"What will happen to the old building, the historic fire station?\" The idea was born to historically reappraise fire protection and firefighting in the building, which is worth preserving, but also to present contemporary developments nationally and internationally. With subsidies and a lot of own work, the fire station, built in 1930, was finally renovated and furnished with the collected exhibits.<\/p>\n

Characteristics<\/h3>\n

The region around the municipality of Gosda II near D\u00f6bern is mainly characterised by the forest - especially the pine plantations that are at risk of forest fires - and lignite mining. Thus, the exhibition contains many interesting documents such as deployment documents, maps, exhibits and visual material on forest firefighting.<\/p>\n
