Artists under the open sky

At the art garden festival in Dissen, visitors have the opportunity to look over the shoulders of artists from various genres as they work. Painters, photographers, textile artists and musicians present their skills on the museum meadow. The Dissen local history museum is organising the art garden festival on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00. Watercolours, drawings and smaller works will be created as part of a plein air by the School for Lower Sorbian Language and Culture under the direction of Gabriele Gittel. The artists will be working under tall old trees behind the church, in the medicinal and aromatic plant garden, in the medieval settlement of "Stary lud" or simply on our museum meadow. Observe the artists at work, their choice of motifs and their creative process and get into conversation with them. Jewellery, watercolours, oil paintings, textile works and many other beautiful things will be on sale.
Admission costs €5.50 for adults and €3.00 for children.
