Easter singing with the "Łužyca" choir

On Good Friday, "Silent Friday", a special concert takes place right next to the local history museum in the church in Dissen. The choir "Łužyca" sings old Sorbian mourning songs and Easter chorales, based on the impressive custom of Easter singing. These songs used to be learnt in the spinning room and passed down through many generations. These old Easter songs can only be found here in Lower Lusatia and are not listed in any church hymnal.
The concert starts at 16:00 and admission is free.
