The special exhibition centres on the artist Bernd Beck (1942-2022). In his drawings and paintings, he deals with the depiction of various spatial aspects of objects, architecture and people. After training as a painter in Geseke in Westphalia and studying art at the HdK/HfBK in Berlin, Beck worked as a freelance artist in Berlin and, since 2010, in Jamlitz. The retrospective of his work is complemented in other exhibition rooms by paintings by artists from the Jamlitz artists' colony such as Bianca Commichau-Lippisch, Walter Kühne and Erich Seiffert, who worked a generation before him.
