At the Art Garden Festival in Dissen, visitors have the opportunity to look over the shoulders of artists from a wide range of genres as they work. Painters, photographers, textile artists and musicians present their skills on the museum lawn. The Dissen local history museum organises the art garden festival on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 17:00. Watercolours, drawings and smaller works will be created as part of a plein air by the School for Lower Sorbian Language and Culture under the direction of Gabriele Gittel. The artists work under old tall trees behind the church, in the medicinal and aromatic plant garden, in the medieval settlement 'Stary lud' or simply on our museum meadow. Observe the artists at work, their choice of motif and the creative process and get into conversation with them. Jewellery, watercolours, oil paintings, textile works and many other beautiful things will be on sale.
Admission costs €5.50 for adults and €3.00 for children.
