For more than 50 years, Reinhard Natusch, an enthusiastic local historian of Sacro and the surrounding area, has actively devoted himself to the history of his hometown, and so it was only natural that he should want to preserve this knowledge in books for posterity. On Sunday, 13 September, the time had finally come: Mr Natusch had invited people to a book launch in the courtyard of the Sacro Village Museum. It was an entertaining event for all the invited visitors. In his book "Trachten und textile Sachzeugnisse der Sorben/Wenden im Forster Raum" (Traditional Costumes and Textile Material Testimonies of the Sorbs/Wends in the Forst Area), he invites you to discover them. With many photos, he describes the old traditional costumes of Sacro, as the villagers once wore them for Shrovetide, the harvest festival, but also for going to church, for weddings or as spinners. After the book reading, Mr Natusch presented his other projects to the audience: a book about customs in Sacro and the surrounding area and a book about Sorbian/Wendish legends of the Forst region. Those interested can pick up the book "Trachten und textile Sachzeugnisse der Sorben/Wenden im Forster Raum" for a nominal fee of 3.00 euros directly from Mr Natusch in Sacro, Dorfstraße 4.
