Baking Oven, Customs and Typical Farm Garden in the Tauer Museum of Local History

Baking Oven, Customs and Typical Farm Garden in the Tauer Museum of Local History

The lovingly furnished museum is located in a former village bakery. It houses exhibits and displays on the life of the rural population, Sorbian/Wendish customs and details of life from the 18th century onwards in an original atmosphere. The Lower Sorbian traditional costumes are a special attraction, ranging from peasant working costumes to elaborately embroidered festive costumes. The unadulterated courtyard with its farm buildings and a traditional farmer's and herb garden have an idyllic effect.

The offer takes place indoors and is aimed at pupils in grades 1 to 10.
