Press breakfast in Hornow

On 8 August 2018, the press breakfast was held for the 14th time in preparation for the museum nights in "Lusatian Museum Land". This time we met in Hornow, in the parish hall of the Protestant Church of St Martin. District Administrator Harald Altekrüger welcomed the representatives of the press and museum institutions in his speech and went into detail about this year's motto "Carved in stone - museums and their buildings". Then, traditionally and yet always new, 30 museums, local history rooms, cultural and ecclesiastical institutions presented themselves - this year not only on one weekend. They have all put together a great and entertaining programme for the museum nights and are looking forward to welcoming guests from near and far.

In the second part of the press breakfast, the new edition of our museum catalogue "Zeitreise" was presented. In this brochure, you will find the museums and museum facilities of the district of Spree-Neiße, with a short characteristic and all important information, in a new design.

In his appearance as the Old Fritz, Michael Rüdiger Budek promoted the history and stories of the region and invited the participants of the press breakfast to an entertaining tour of the Hornow church.
