From grain to bread in the Bloischdorf museum barn

Museum staff have made bread dough in advance. At the beginning, the pupils learn to shape it into loaves, which are then baked in the museum oven. Afterwards, a lesson is given on interesting facts about grain. The operation of a threshing flail is demonstrated and the children can try it out for themselves. Afterwards, herbs from the museum herb garden are collected by the children and made into herb butter and herb curd. The bread is taken out of the oven and cooled. During this time, the pupils solve a quiz or crossword puzzle. Finally, the children eat the bread with the herb curd and herb butter.

The offer takes place indoors and outdoors and is aimed at schoolchildren.
