Pupils and radio operators at the exhibition 125 Years of the Forster Municipal Railway

Category : Current

After their successful project day on the topic of the "Forst city railway" on 31 May 2018, pupils from Forst-Mitte primary school have now made additional display boards about the "Schwarze Jule" and made them available to the Brandenburg Textile Museum in Forst (Lausitz). This is a pleasing demonstration that the younger generation also keeps memories alive and, supported by committed teachers, actively deals with the past of the town of Forst (Lausitz).
Of course, these text-image panels have also found their way into the exhibition "125 Years of Forster's Municipal Railway - Schwarze Jule" and can be seen until the end of the exhibition on 8 July 2018.
In addition, the radio amateurs of the Forst (Lausitz) local association will also be taking a look over their shoulders in the museum rooms as part of the exhibition on 23 and 24 June.
At their club station with the special callsign DM125FS they are publicly present and have worldwide radio communication. This special callsign is specifically used to promote the anniversary "125 years of the Forster city railway".
In addition, the radio operators represent the anniversary with a self-designed German-English special QSL card. This will be sent to radio amateurs worldwide via the club to confirm the radio connections. But also when visiting the special station in the Textile Museum, every visitor receives a QSL card signed by a radio amateur as a souvenir.
