On 8 August 2018, the press breakfast was held for the 14th time in preparation for the museum nights in "Lusatian Museum Land". This time we met in Hornow, in the parish hall of the Protestant Church of St Martin. The men of the Cottbus Airfield Museum made it into a report by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) with their chick - the Tupolev TU 134. Under the title "Baumann's Tupolev moves", the cameras accompanied the Russian aircraft on its way from Grünz in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to Cottbus.

Minister President Dietmar Woidke has honoured 87-year-old Reinhard Natusch from Forst-Sacro as Volunteer of the Month for November. "I hardly know anyone whose commitment is so diverse. Mr Natusch is a philatelist, a local historian and a local historian," said Woidke at the award ceremony in Potsdam.
