Christmas and Winter Exhibition "Tin Railway Dreams" Model railways in the Forst Textile Museum

In the period from about 1938, the round trip of the quite rare railway models in S gauge (22.5 mm) begins in the textile museum in the rose town of Forst (Lausitz). The complete range of the former model railway production from Stadtilm in Thuringia is the basis for this extensive exhibition.

Press breakfast in Hornow
Category : Current
On 8 August 2018, the press breakfast was held for the 14th time in preparation for the museum nights in "Lusatian Museum Land". This time we met in Hornow, in the parish hall of the Protestant Church of St Martin. District Administrator Harald Altekrüger welcomed the representatives of the press and museum institutions in his speech and went into detail about this year's motto "Carved in stone - museums and their buildings".

Successful double exhibition draws to a close

The exhibitions 125 Years of Forster's "Schwarze Jule" Town Railway and Majestic Time Travel - 30 Years of Forster's Rose Queen at the Brandenburg Textile Museum in Forst (Lausitz) are open until 8 July 2018 inclusive. Linking technology and history with beauty and fashion has proven to be a successful combination.

Pupils and radio operators at the exhibition 125 Years of the Forster Municipal Railway

After their successful project day on the topic of the "Forst city railway" on 31 May 2018, pupils from Forst-Mitte primary school have now made additional display boards about the "Schwarze Jule" and made them available to the Brandenburg Textile Museum in Forst (Lausitz).

Cottbus Airfield Museum in an NDR reportage

The men of the Cottbus Airfield Museum made it into a report by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) with their chick - the Tupolev TU 134. Under the title "Baumann's Tupolev moves", the cameras accompanied the Russian aircraft on its way from Grünz in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to Cottbus.
