On 8 August 2018, the press breakfast was held for the 14th time in preparation for the museum nights in "Lusatian Museum Land". This time we met in Hornow, in the parish hall of the Protestant Church of St Martin. District Administrator Harald Altekrüger welcomed the representatives of the press and museum institutions in his speech and went into detail about this year's motto "Carved in stone - museums and their buildings".

The men of the Cottbus Airfield Museum made it into a report by the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) with their chick - the Tupolev TU 134. Under the title "Baumann's Tupolev moves", the cameras accompanied the Russian aircraft on its way from Grünz in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to Cottbus.
